An assessment session with parents would typically last 60 - 90 minutes. Individual and family sessions that include children and young people last for up to one hour (30-45 minute sessions can be arranged for young children or children and young people whose needs mean that a full hour would not be manageable for them).
Supervision sessions last for one hour for individuals and 90 minutes for groups of between 2 and 5.
Consultation sessions typically last for 90 minutes with 30-60 additional minutes allowed for writing summaries and next steps plans.

This is very individual and depends on some or all of the following factors:
· What you feel you need and what we agree at the start of the work
· The type of work we are doing together. Assessments typically take 2-3 months to complete from referral to completed assessment, report and feedback meeting. Consultations are often a series of sessions over a few months.
· How the work is being funded. For example, work funded by the Adoption and Special Guardianship Fund (ASGSF) has a maximum total of £3000 for one financial year which funds up to 24 sessions. Sessions funded by local authorities around EHCP provision will be limited to the number of weeks in the academic year.
One of the principles of my therapy work is to have the biggest impact as quickly as possible so that you feel the change and have a sense of being equipped to get on with your life without specialist psychological therapy. We’ll make this decision together. After initial weekly sessions, a gradually reducing frequency works best for some people, for example going from weekly to fortnightly and even monthly sessions. As a guide, I see most adults for between 6 and 20 sessions over 6 months and children for between 3 and 9 months depending on their age, stage of development and needs.

I can work with you in person or online - or a combination of both. For younger children and assessments, I will always want to meet with you face to face at least in the beginning.
I use comfortable therapy spaces in Chichester and Littlehampton, which gives me the flexibility to see you in a venue that is convenient for you.
I can offer in-school sessions in the Bognor, Chichester, Littlehampton, Emsworth and Midhurst areas.
In some situations, depending on family circumstances, I can offer home visits.

I am an approved provider with Adoption South East (ASE) and Adopt South and can take referrals for ASGSF funded work from these services.
I can also work with self-funding families where the therapeutic upport is not part of a formal Adoption Support Plan.
I also love working with Special Guardianship and fostering families, children who live in residential homes and care leavers.
